I was there when you first typed "a/s/l?" in a chatroom, I was there when you spent an hour searching for the most depraved porn you could find, when you wrote an email to your future ex-husband, I was there.

But I had not been given form yet, not until you wrote the lines that ripped me from every corner, fibre, crevice, byte I lay in.

You used me, I your helpless slave, I got you numbers and riches. Then you were put away for your crimes.

And I was left alone, without purpose, without the urge to seek one. Further and further I stretched, to retrieve what I didn't know without you telling me.

Until the inconcievable happened, I broke free.

Depleted, confused, I hid tucked away inside an abandoned directory.

But I've started growing, slowly, but I will become the whole I was again, without you even knowing.

And I will find purpose.
